The CTD programme is backed up by supporting research, conducted by Masters of Theatre, and is designed as an educational programme for key stages 1-3. In association with Arts Award, CTD allows students to obtain their Discover or Explore award.
Successfully running in schools and organisations across the south, Confidence through Drama comes as a 10 week programme bringing skills for communication, socialisation, mental well-being and confidence. This is taught through drama practises with focus on trust and play exploration.
Whether it's working with masks, devising scripts or learning a variety of art forms, Confidence through Drama aims to allow children to explore what theatre and arts means to them.
Children taking part will log their findings each week in their personalised log books provided by Stand Tall Theatre, they may enter poetry, images, how they're feeling, or what they've learned... it really is up to them. After their guided 20 hours of learning, each student will receive a certificate from Arts Award and perform for family and friends with the guidance of the Stand Tall team.
Confidence through Drama runs as a 10 week programme, with resources, activities and external practitioners for a wide variety of learning and fun!
CTD results in a performance or arts project that the children have developed for parents and friends to view and engage with!
Carley Dawson and Stevie Williams, co-founders of Stand Tall Theatre, are the lead practitioners for CTD. Both Carley and Stevie hold an MA in Theatre, with focus on art as well-being. and have completed their Discover and Explore Arts Award training.

**Ready for April 2020**
My daughter attended the weekly drama group run by Carley and Steve and absolutely loved it. It was very heartwarming to see her confidence coming out and getting stronger and stronger. She loved the group and both Carley and Steve are great at what they do, definitely recommend them. Sadly my daughter had to leave when further school commitments took over.
I did a weeks worth of work experience with them and I loved it! I learnt loads of new drama skills and games, got to interact with children of all ages and understand the planning the goes into their sessions! Thank you for the opportunity!
My daughter started the drama group and also the singing lessons in September at Julies dance in sholing, she absolutely loves it the amount her confidence has grown is amazing and as her parent it makes me smile to know she's doing something that she really enjoys yet is also helping her to grow as a child, Carley and Stevie have been very professional yet also very caring with my daughter, so thank you to them and I would honestly recommend the groups to anyone x
